Email and name. What you enter yourself: food, weight, waist circumference, height, year of birth, sex, activity level and goals, plus meal photos if you send them. Technical: sign-in time, whether you open the app from the home screen, how often you open food entry, time zone, number of questions to the assistant. We don't collect location, we don't use tracking cookies and there's no third-party analytics, except for beta testers (see below).
Weight, waist circumference and diet are data that say something about your health. We process them only on the basis of your explicit consent, which you give when signing up and can withdraw by deleting your account.
So the app does what it exists for: so you can see what you've eaten, how far you are from your goal and how you stand in the group. For billing and for sending necessary messages (address confirmation, password, subscription expiry). We don't send ads.
We don't sell data to anyone. We use:
Points, streak and leaderboard place are always visible. Members of your groups see your meals and weight while this is on in Settings → What others see, and you see theirs only while you share yours. The meals you share are visible to members of your groups in the app and, if you allow it, to their assistant: the one in Prehrana and ChatGPT or Claude if they connected them, so it can log the same meal for them. You can turn sharing off and back on at any time.
When the app hits an error or a conversation with the assistant gets stuck, we save technical details and the last ten or so messages of that conversation so we can fix the problem. Only the app owner can see them, and they are deleted after 30 days.
When you connect Prehrana to ChatGPT or Claude, that service can, through the connector, read and change your food entries, goals, weight and waist measurement, notes, water and the food catalogue, and read the meals that members of your groups have allowed assistants to see. Requests are sent by the service you connected, when you ask it something, and whatever Prehrana returns is then processed by that service under its own terms and privacy policy. With each entry we also save the text you used to describe the food, so the entry can be checked and corrected. The food catalogue is shared: a food the assistant adds is visible to other users too, without any information about who added it. Suggestions and problem reports you choose to send through the connector are stored and e-mailed to the developer; problem reports are deleted after 30 days, and suggestions stay with your account until you delete it, so you can see the reply. Connector access that isn't used expires after 60 days. You revoke it by changing your password under Settings → Profile and account → Password, which immediately cuts off access for all connected services. The connector is described at prehrana.app/spoj.
Until you delete your account. Deletion is permanent and immediately erases all your entries, measurements, goals and points. Records of sent emails are kept for 180 days, records of assistant calls for 40 days, and invoices for as long as tax regulations require.
You can download all your data as a JSON file and delete your account, both yourself, in Settings → Profile and account. You also have the right to rectification, restriction and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with AZOP (the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency).
The app isn't intended for people under 16.
Everything goes over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as a PBKDF2-SHA256 hash, never as text. We don't see your card details — payment takes place on Stripe's page.
